WE ARE PASSION
We are a restaurant, bakery and full-service event catering and rental provider located in Kathu, Phuket. At the heart of our philosophy and ethos is looking after the customer, doing the best we can in serving excellence.
We are proud to have our premises designed specifically to deliver our products and service under one roof. At Passion with our open kitchen and bakery, the unique ability exists to view the creations as they progress while you eat. Bathed in natural light with a shaded alfresco, the Sino Portuguese tiled terrace is shaded for those who wish to dine outdoors. Upon entry, immediately the atrium captures your eye, extending to the second floor, overhanging the bakery where Anne and Kea, our decorating specialists can be seen bringing their creations to life. Our 15m display case and home-made ice creams and vegan sorbets in Tahitian, vanilla, passion fruit, mango and blueberry sorbets will delight the senses. While dining in the restaurant, view your meal being prepared in our open air kitchen. Choose either to dine on the banquette seating or on the counter watching the chefs and bakers at work. For events, you will be seated at our custom-designed marble top tasting table in front of the open kitchen to pre-taste the creations to make your unique event one to remember. We take pride in helping you personalise your menu.
Presiding over Roux brothers that had the most Michelin Stars globally (11), Anthony was fortunate to work as a private chef for the many personal contacts of Mr. Albert Roux, including Lord McAlpine and Lord Weinstock. Lord McAlpine and Albert Roux formed a partnership to open the Cable Beach Club in Broome, a visionary project. Albert Roux prior to sending Anthony to Australia to open the Cable Beach club sent Anthony on a mission of ‘stages’ with Michel Gerard at the 3 star Michelin ‘Eugenie Les Bains’, ‘Les Freres Troisgros’ in Roanne, ‘Chateau de Montreuil’ in Pas de Calais, ‘Gualtiero Marchesi’ in Milan, ‘Hotel Cipriani’ in Venice and his own sous vide factory ‘Lasserre’ in the South West of France. Following The Cable Beach Club Anthony then joined Regent Four Seasons hotel in Melbourne where he spent the next 4 years before going to Burma in 1995 to open the first 5-star hotel ‘The Sedona Hotel’. He then went on to assist with the opening of the now legendary Leela Palace Hotel Bangalore in India, modelled on Mysore Palace, this stunning hotel rapidly became "the" destination in Bangalore for dining which led to the opening of ‘Passion’.

Anthony began his culinary journey at ‘The Copper Pan’ in North Brighton, then joined Australia's No.1 and only Relais Chateau restaurant in Australia, ‘The Two Faces’ with the legendary Hermann Schneider. On completion of his apprenticeship, Anthony went to work with the Staley family at ‘Glo Glo's’ before securing a position at the U.K.'s first ever 3-star Michelin restaurant the Roux Brothers ‘Le Gavroche’ in the same year it was awarded its third Michelin star. Again, a legend still to this day, Albert Roux took Anthony under his wing - nicknaming him Skippy (much to Anthony's continuing chagrin) arranging for him to work in every restaurant and food business in his empire during his 5 year tenure in London, culminating in Anthony being appointed the Roux Brothers first ever Group Executive Chef.
